2021 – 23rd meeting of the WHO Expert Committee on the Selection and Use of Essential Medicines

The meeting of the 23rd WHO Expert Committee on the Selection and Use of Essential Medicines will be coordinated from WHO Headquarters, Geneva and held virtually on 21 June to 2 July 2021 to revise and update the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines (EML) and the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines for Children (EMLc).

The applications to be considered by the Expert Committee during the meeting are published below.

An Open Session of the meeting will be held virtually on Monday 21 June from 14:00 to 17:00 CEST. The WHO is discussing the inclusion of 40 new medicines to update the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines (EML). The Open Session provides an opportunity for individuals and partners external to the WHO to listen to an update on current and future activities of the EML Secretariat and to provide comments on issues relating to the meeting agenda through short statements.
