The New Variety

According to Dr. G K Koutu, director of research services at the JNKVV, the novel varieties were evaluated over a three-year period in diverse agro-climatic conditions in distinct crop-growing areas of several states.

According to him, these new crops have a combination of favorable qualities such as high grain production, disease resistance, good grain quality, and short harvest length.

According to him, JO 05-304 is ideal for production in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan, while JO 10-506 is suitable for production in Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, the eastern area of Uttar Pradesh, Assam, and Manipur. He claims that the novel wheat types MP 1323 and MP 1358, as well as rice JR 10, can be cultivated in specified parts of Madhya Pradesh.
