Corteva got Indian approval of Fluazaindolizine - technical 96.1% w/w min and formulation (41.15% SC) in the 446th Registration Committee (RC) meeting.
Fluazaindolizine is a nematicide in the advanced development stage at Corteva for the broad-spectrum control of a range of nematodes in F&V, fruiting vegetables, tomato, cucurbits, potato, turf, tree fruit, vine fruit, citrus fruit, stone fruit, tobacco and row crops. The product was initially to be marketed under the brand name Vellozine, however in 2018 Corteva announced that the ai would be rebranded as Reklemel.
Corteva also gets Indian approval of Florpyrauxifen benzyl Technical in the 446th Registration Committee (RC) meeting. Earlier Florpyrauxifen benzyl formulations are already got approvals.
Florpyrauxifen-benzyl is a new active ingredient that belongs to WSSA (Weed Science Society of America) Group 4 or HRAC (Herbicide Resistance Action Committee) Group O. Florpyrauxifen-benzyl is a new synthetic auxin which kills susceptible plants by causing disruption of growth processes. The USEPA has unconditionally registered florpyrauxifen-benzyl for postemergence weed control in freshwater aquatic sites including foliar application to emergent aquatic vegetation or direct application to water body use sites. The aquatic use is intended for management of freshwater aquatic vegetation in slow-moving/ quiescent waters with little or no continuous outflow in ponds, lakes, reservoirs, freshwater marshes, wetlands, bayous, drainage ditches, and non-irrigation canals, including shoreline and riparian areas in or adjacent to these sites, as well as, management of invasive freshwater aquatic vegetation in slow-moving/quiescent areas of rivers.
The 446th meeting of the Registration Committee (RC) was held under the Chairmanship of Dr. P. K. Singh, Chairman, Registration Committee on 12.04.2023 at 11:00 hrs onwards in PPA Secretariat, DPPQ&S, Faridabad. Wherein Dr. S. C. Dubey, ADG (PP&B) ICAR, New Delhi; Dr. J. P. Singh, Plant Protection Advisor, DPPQS, Faridabad; Dr. Virendera Singh (Representative of Drug Controller General of India) New Delhi; Dr. Vishal Chaudhary, Deputy Industrial Advisor, Ministry of Chemical and Petrochemical, New Delhi and Dr. Sanjay Arya, Secretary, CIB&RC attended the meeting.
