New Agrochemical Discovery Candidates – New ISO Published in 2022 Spirobudifen (Acaricide) & Tiorantraniliprole (Diamide insecticides) 

April 2022 BCPC – Compendium of Pesticide Common Names published new Agrochemical discovery acaricides & insecticides Candidates on the Alanwood platform, which is now acquired by BCPC (the British Crop Production Council).

Spirobudifen is acaricide and belongs to the chemical tetronic acid class, already three other molecules from the class are published, e.g., Spirobudifen, Spirodiclofen, and Spiromesifen. Bayer is a pioneer in the tetronic acid acaricides class.

Abstract: The invention provides an insecticidal composition. The insecticidal composition contains an active compound, namely spirodiclofen diester represented by a formula (I) shown in a drawing, and an active compound, namely lambda-cyhalothrin represented by a formula (I) shown in a drawing. The insecticidal composition is prepared through the binary compounding of the active compound represented by the formula (I) and the active compound represented by the formula (II), a synergistic effect on the control of insects is achieved, the dosage of the two active ingredients is lowered, the generation of resistance is delayed, and the control spectrum is expanded.  

Tiorantraniliprole – Anthranilamides [diamide insecticides class (pyridylpyrazole insecticides)]

Tiorantraniliprole from insecticides diamide insecticides class (pyridylpyrazole insecticides) is also published. Tiorantraniliprole is covered in Chinese patent CN103130770B assigned to Qingdao University of Science and Technology. Tiorantraniliprole belongs to 3,5-dihalo thiobenzamide diamide insecticides class.

Advantage of the Tiorantraniliprole and positive effect: compared with known anthranilamides, has beyond thought high reactivity to insects such as beet armyworms.
