Sulfoxamyl is oxime carbamate nematicide shown very good activity against the Meloidogyne incognita. Meloidogyne incognita (root-knot nematode, RKN), also known as the southern root-nematode or cotton root-knot nematode is a plant-parasitic roundworm in the family Heteroderidae.
- STATUS: ISO (Provisionally Approved)
- CHEMICAL CLASS: Oxime Carbamate
- ACTIVITY: Nematicide
- IUPAC NAME: (2Z)-N,N-dimethyl-2-[[[(methylamino)carbonyl]oxy]imino]-2-(methylsulfonyl)acetamide
- GLOBAL IMPACT: International Patents Filed
German patent discloses a sulfone compound corresponding to the compound namely, Sulfoxamyl (N,N-dimethyl-2-[[[(methylamino)carbonyl]oxy]imino]-2-(methylsulfonyl)acetamide) and German patent only discloses the fungicidal activity of oxychlorpyrifos and its compositions, specifically studying the use of oxychlorpyrifos to prevent diseases of crops and ornamental plants caused by Algae Fungi.
It has not been commercially applied to date; it is worth noting that the nematicidal activity and application of oxychlorpyrifos were not studied or mentioned.
The present innovator M/S Ningxia HugeRise Chemical Co., Ltd. has filed Chinese patent application covering the nematicidal application of Sulfoxamyl active agrochemical ingredient.
