The Central Insecticides Board & Registration Committee (CIBRC) has granted multiple product approvals in July 2025 under Section 9(3) of the Insecticides Act. Approvals include both Technical Indigenous Manufacture (TIM) and Formulated Indigenous Manufacture (FIM), spanning herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides.

Syngenta India Ltd.

  • Application: Indigenous manufacture of Spiropidion 9.6% + Abamectin 1.4% SC (u/s 9(3) FIM)
    Decision: Approved for:

    • Tomato: mites, leaf miner, thrips, aphids
    • Chilli: mites, thrips
      Condition: Subject to fixation of MRL.

UPL Ltd.

  • Application: Indigenous manufacture of Pendimethalin 29.75% + Metribuzin 11.25% ZC (u/s 9(3) FIM)
    Decision: Approved for:

    • Tomato: Digitaria sanguinalis, Dactyloctenium aegyptium, Phalaris minor, Solanum nigrum, Coronopus didymus, Chenopodium album, Phyllanthus niruri
    • Potato: Cynodon dactylon, Digitaria sanguinalis, Eleusine indica, Dactyloctenium aegyptium, Phyllanthus niruri, Euphorbia hirta, Solanum nigrum, Chenopodium album
    • Pigeon pea: Dactyloctenium aegyptium, Dinebra retroflexa, Echinochloa colona, Digera arvensis, Amaranthus viridis, Trianthema portulacastrum, Chenopodium album
      Condition: Subject to fixation of MRL of Pendimethalin in Tomato and Potato and Metribuzin in Pigeon pea.

Corteva Agriscience India Pvt. Ltd.

  • Application: Indigenous manufacture of Triflumezopyrim 0.45% + Chlorantraniliprole 0.5% GR (u/s 9(3) FIM)
    Decision: Approved for rice crop against yellow stem borer, leaf folder, rice hispa, brown plant hopper, white backed plant hopper.
    Condition: Subject to fixation of MRL.

ADAMA India Pvt. Ltd.

  • Application: Indigenous manufacture of Penoxsulam 1.2% + Pretilachlor 30.8% SE (u/s 9(3) FIM)
    Decision: Approved for use in transplanted rice against Echinochloa colona, Leptochloa chinensis, Cyperus difformis, Ludwigia parviflora, Eclipta alba, Alternanthera philoxeroides.

Nichino India Pvt. Ltd.

  • Application: Technical indigenous manufacture of Orthosulfamuron Technical 98% w/w min. (u/s 9(3) TIM)
    Decision: Approved for indigenous manufacture.
  • Application: Indigenous manufacture of Orthosulfamuron 0.6% + Pretilachlor 6% GR (u/s 9(3) FIM)
    Decision: Approved for weed control (Echinochloa colona, Cyperus iria, Cyperus difformis, Ludwigia parviflora, Eclipta alba, Monochoria vaginalis) in transplanted rice.
    Cautionary statement (to be added on label/leaflet):
    “This product is moderately toxic to aquatic organisms, freshwater fish, and honey bees with long-lasting effects. Product containing molecules may be avoided near aquaculture and should not be applied when bees are actively foraging.”
